Privacy policy

This policy separates the image-cleaning workflow from the ordinary data involved in loading and measuring a website. “Local processing” applies to selected image files; it does not mean that visiting the website produces no network requests.

Effective and last updated:

Plain-English summary

Image files and embedded metadata

When you choose an image, browser code reads the file on your device, inspects supported metadata structures, decodes the visible pixels, creates a new output, and verifies that output. The cleaner does not send the selected file, its pixels, prompts, EXIF, GPS, XMP, C2PA, or other embedded metadata to this site’s server, Cloudflare, or Google Analytics.

The original remains under your control. Temporary file objects and generated download data exist in browser memory while the page is open and are released during cleanup or when the tab is closed. Files you download are stored wherever your browser and device place them. Because the site does not receive selected images, it does not retain, sell, or share those images.

Local preferences

The homepage can store the selected visual theme in your browser’s local storage so the interface can reuse that preference. This value describes the interface theme, not an image or its metadata. You can remove it through your browser’s site-data controls.

Website delivery through Cloudflare

The static site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare processes standard request information needed to deliver and protect a website, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser headers, and security signals. Selecting an image in the cleaner does not add the image contents or embedded metadata to those page requests.

Cloudflare handles this provider data under its own privacy policy.

Google Analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-6V5HH49268 to understand whether pages are used and whether the tool experience works across browsers and devices. Under Google’s standard implementation, Analytics can collect user and session counts, page and session activity, approximate geolocation, and browser or device information. Google states that GA4 JavaScript tags can set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and preserve session state.

Analytics data is separate from the local image workflow. The site does not intentionally send image names, image bytes, embedded metadata, prompts, or generated output to Google Analytics. Analytics data is handled according to this site’s Analytics configuration and Google’s policies. Read Google’s Analytics data collection explanation and the Google Privacy Policy for more detail.

Your choices

Sharing, sale, and retention

The site does not sell selected images or personal information. It does not share selected images because it never receives them. Ordinary website data may be processed by Cloudflare and Google for hosting, security, measurement, and related provider purposes under their terms. There is no server-side image retention period. Analytics and request-data retention are governed by the applicable provider configuration and policies.

External links and policy changes

Links to third-party websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices. This policy may change when the tool, analytics, hosting, or support channels change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date.

Privacy questions

The site does not currently operate a public support inbox. The contact and support page is the canonical place to check for a monitored contact method. Do not send sensitive images or metadata to an address that is not listed there.
